    Twenty-Five Years Of Uhuru Monument

Fountain Monument Marking 25 Years Of Independence, Under The Theme Peace, Love And Unity.

Erected in 1988 to mark the silver jubilee of Kenya's independence, this fountain monument stands approximately 100 metres from the National Monument. It was built under the unifying theme of Peace, Love and Unity, the three civic virtues that defined the nation's aspirations a quarter-century after Uhuru.

The monument serves as a place of quiet contemplation, a counterpoint to the larger ceremonial spaces of Uhuru Gardens. Its water and stone form a continuing reminder that independence is not a single event but a renewable promise, refreshed by each generation.
